CMIC: Assessing energy, environmental, and cost benefits of fuel source and technology decisions
GTI Energy’s Carbon Management Information Center (CMIC) helps to define decarbonization in a carbon-managed future, developing tools and data to ensure all viable energy sources and technology options are considered equitably to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and total energy use.
The Source Energy and Emissions Factors Modeling Tool—with modules for residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation—calculates source energy and select air emission factors, including GHG emissions associated with each fuel type across different building types and geographic locations.
A new RNG Blending Calculator assists stakeholders in investigating the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of pathways toward carbon reduction.
